About TSM

Texas Student Media at the University of Texas in Austin offers a variety of work experience in a mix of student-managed media. The media offers extracurricular activity, pre-professional experience and paid part-time work for students from across campus. While many of the staff members are College of Communication students, efforts are made to attract a group of students that's diverse in terms of ethnicity, major, cultural background and interest areas. In all areas, the student staffs are recruited by student managers and by professional advisers, who distribute fliers, speak to classes, advertise positions using Student Media and conduct open houses and recruiting events.
