Images
When submitting images for your publication, please save them as
Macintosh TIFFs. This is the file type that offers the best
reproduction and ease of use for print. EPS files are more complex
and can be problematic, especially if there is text in the file. If
you must use the EPS file type, be sure to include any and all fonts
used if there is text. TSP can not guarantee correct reproduction of
EPS files if fonts are not included. Unless you have saved a
document from a page layout program as an EPS, there is no reason
not to use a TIFF instead.
JPEGs, GIFFs, and any PC-type image
formats such as BMPs are not acceptable for print work. Images
downloaded from websites are usually 72 d.p.i, and therefore too low
in resolution for print work. Please avoid using them, if at all
possible. TSP can not guarantee the quality of downloaded images
when printed.
Applications
When submitting a publication or ad to TSP, remember that we are
an Apple Macintosh environment and therefore can accept only those
files that are created on a Macintosh computer*. Further, we can
accept documents created in these programs only:
Adobe PageMaker
QuarkXpress
Multi-Ad Creator
Adobe PhotoShop
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe Acrobat
Documents in Microsoft Word or Macromedia Freehand cannot
be accepted. These are unsuitable for page layout.
*We can sometimes convert PageMaker and Quark files created on a
PC, but the fonts won't translate. Please call or email us to
discuss your specific needs.
